Newark River Front

Commissioned by The Trust for Public Land and completed in 2015, Newark Riverfront Park was envisioned as a learning and teaching space for student groups and local families to connect with the site’s post-industrial history and its relationship to the river. Our contribution included two types of interpretive signage: waterjet-cut metal railings with stencil-cut graphics, featuring six panels that describe site-specific views along the boardwalk, and blue enamel signs mounted on logs, positioned to create narrative moments. This “talking park” concept brings the park’s stories to life in an engaging and visually appealing way.
